A. CUNNINGHAM DIES SUDDENLY
Stricken Fifteen Minutes After Entering Home of Son Yesterday
Alfred Cunningham died suddenly Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of his son, Ernest A. Cunningham, 2201 Hancock Street. He was working in the yard of his son's home up to fifteen minutes prior to his demise. Heart troubles was the cause.
Mr. Cunningham returned to Rockford last Thursday after visiting a brother and daughter at Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Yesterday afternoon, after working in the yard, he went into the house complaining of a severe cold in his head. He laid down on a couch and died fifteen minutes later.
He was born in Green County, Wisconsin, seventy-two years ago and had resided in Rockford nine years. He is survived by four sons, Ernest, Merle, and Albro Cunningham, of Rockford, and Floyd Cunningham of Duluth, Minnesota, and two daughters, Mrs. Amy Anderson of Dodgeville, Wisconsin and Mrs. Jessie Sanders of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Henry Cunningham, of Dodgeville, is a brother. Nine grandchildren also survive.
The Body will be taken to Dodgeville and funeral services will be held Thursday morning at Dodgeville, Wisconsin and interment will be made at Cobb, Wisconsin.
