REVOLUTIONARY SERVICE: Enlisted for the term of nine months about April 15, 1776 in the town of Thompson, CT in the Company commanded by Capt. Stephen Lyon in the Regiment commanded by Col.John Chester in the Connecticut line. He continued to serve in the said corps until about Feb. 15, 1777, when he was discharged in Peekskill, N.Y. He was in the Battle of Long Island.
