Earl Dean Shields, age 85 of Sevierville, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home. Mr. Shields was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie D. Shields; parents, Swain and Geneva Shields; brothers, Paul, Wallace, and Ray Shields; and sisters, Billie and Esta Shields.
Funeral service at 5:30 PM Friday in the chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Barker officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service from 6-8 PM. Interment at 11 AM Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with military honors provided by American Legion Post 104.
