Born in Herzog (Susly) Russia.

Immigrated to the US on SS Leipzig, arriving New York, NY on 12 Sep 1878.

*Maybe buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Die Herzoger lists this family but does not give the death date for either Aloysius nor Elizabeth so they were parishioners of St. Fidelis church for a time.

The family appears in the Hartsook/Herzog Township Kansas and US census between 1880 and 1915 with the exception of the 1895 Kansas census where they are in Ogallah, Trego county, KS. Elizabeth appears in the 1900 US census but not the 1905 Kansas census so had apparently died by then.

* I have seen some claims that she died in Park, Gove county, KS. So its possible the family moved from Victoria, KS to Park, KS after the 1900 US census and then Aloysius and the children returned to Victoria, KS after her death prior to the 1905 Kansas census. If so she would probably be buried in Sacred Heart cemetery in Park, KS but I cannot find her headstone in either place.

Aloysius (often referred to Alex in the census) and the children moved to Sitka, Clark county, KS between the 1915 Kansas census and the 1920 US census. Aloysius was living by himself in Sitka KS in the 1930 US census but probably died in Garden City where his son, Alexander was living at the time.
