Mike “Puddin” Nuchols, age 63, of Townsend, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 11, 2015. He was born May 24, 1952, in Maryville, TN. He was a member of Old Piney Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rowena Nuchols. He is survived by his sweetheart, Beth Sutton; brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Peggy Nuchols; niece and husband, Lindsey and Andy Sexton; nephew and wife, Jeff and April Nuchols, 7 grand nieces and nephews; aunt, Bonnell Cooper; cousin and wife, Buster and Tresea Nuchols; many other family members; children of his heart, Ashley, Melissa, Jennifer, Austin, and Meagan; those he called brother include Ben, Bud, David, Gordy, Jerry, Rocky, Steve, and numerous others. He would say to you “I love you, brother.”
Puddin was a true mountain man who loved God, family, friends, animals, and the river. He was selfless, generous, and kind with a smile and laugh that lite up a room. Puddin was a friend to all and a stranger to none. He loved deeply and was deeply loved. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The family and friends will meet Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Old Piney Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
