Eudena Wood, age 82, of Newport, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was employed by American Enka and Ledwell Motel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Scott (L.S.) Wood; parents Lemuel and Ferida Phillips; brothers, Creed, David, Loval, Guy, Frank, Hugh and Wade Phillips; sisters, Trula Williams and Hazel Robinson.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home with Rev. Ransom Hall and Rev. Fred Cagle officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, prior to the funeral service.
