DON EDWARD FORRESTER, Sr. age 77, of the Chestnut Grove Community of Dandridge, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his home.
He was a deacon and member of the Nina Baptist Church of White Pine, TN and was a long time employee of Berkline Mfg. Co. for more than 30 years, and also worked at Food City in Dandridge,where he adopted many new kids and grandkids.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Virgie Forrester; and sister, Dorothy Deering.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nellie Forrester; children, Donnie (Sherry) Forrester, Vickie (Bobby) Shaffer; grandchildren, Travis Forrester, Dusty Forrester, Samantha (Jeffery) Taylor, Kayla (Matt) Shelley and Matthew Shaffer; great-grandchilden, Issac Forrester, Alexus Taylor, Shelby Taylor, Serinity Forrester and Landon Shelly; brother, Charles (Lois) Forrester and sister, Shirley (Gene) Ailey.
Funeral services, Saturday, December 12, 2015, 7:00pm at the Nina Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Norris and Rev. Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. Interment graveside services will be Sunday, 2:00pm with Military Honors at French Broad Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at the church.
