History of Kristen Pedersen Tokvam Ohnstad:
He was not originally from Aurland. The 1801 Norway Census for Vik kommune, Sogn, listed a Kristen Pedersen, age 7 (name stated as "Christen," correct age stated), living in Vik community (kommune northwest of Aurland) with his aunt, Anneke Christensdatter age 42 and husband, Niels Landsteen age 44. They were on the prestegard; Graav gard (pastor's farm), Hopperstad parish. Niels was a teacher in the Danish "poor school" in Vik. They had no children listed and Christen (or Kristen) was listed as her broderson (nephew of the wife's). No family name was given for Anneke or Kristen. Kristen moved to Tokvam gard, Aurland where he listed his occupation as "tailor." Continued profession at Onstad gard in his marriage to Anna Lassedtr. Ohnstad. He took "Ohnstad" as his family name. All of his nine children were born at Onstad. After the early death of his first wife, he was married to Mari Johannesdtr. Sagen (1796-1847) who was from the Fresvik parish, Leikanger. After second wife's death and that of son Ole Ohnstad, Kristen Pedersen, em. 1860 and joined those of his children remaining in Koshkonong, Dane Co., Wisconsin.

Information from Contributor #47919001:
A review of cemetery map and church records show only one person named "Ohnstad" in the entire cemetery. He is listed in Section 154, grave 10 and is in the next row over and directly in line with that of Albert Lein b. 1883 and d. 1884 whose grave marker is present and has been photographed.

There is a buried marker that may be Kristen's but cannot be verified without excavation. It is the right location according to the cemetery map.
