Dawn Lorraine Sampson, 67, of Columbus, formerly of Michigan, passed away surrounded by family on March 11, 2011.
Dawn was born June 24, 1943, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to Sherman D. Howard and Gladys D. Hundley. She was an avid reader and gardener, loved animals, enjoyed baking and crocheting and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by sons, Dane E. (Ekaterina) Floyd of Columbus and Chris L. (Merian) Sampson of Olivet, Michigan; a daughter, Nancy L. Brooks of Columbus; grandchildren, Ryan J. (Jacqueline) Floyd, Karen I. Siple, Melissa D. Floyd, Matthew F. Floyd and Danielle Cassidy D. Sampson; and great-grandchildren, Felicity Ferree, Brandon Ferree and James Floyd.
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman D. Howard and Gladys D. Hundley; and her husband, Richard L. Sampson.
A graveside memorial service will be held in Olivet, Michigan, where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband.
