Virginia Artell Holt, age 79, of Newport, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Holt; brothers, Ordway, Orville, Earl and Charles Walker; sisters, Dorothy Tanzella Butler, Ruby Askew and Uneda Frazier.
She is survived by her husband, George Holt, of Newport; sons, Mike Holt and wife Peggy of Parrottsville, Scott Holt of Newport; grandchildren, Joshua Holt of Newport, Dena Penticutt of Rhea County; great grandchildren, Brailyn James, Easton and Kinleigh Whitlock.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and their special neighbors Bonnie and Jeff Ray.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Zane Stuart, Rev. Willie Winters and Rev. Dennis Caldwell officiating. Burial will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
