Max C. Fox, 74, of Virginia, died Saturday morning, Jan. 11, 2003, at Heritage Manor South Nursing Home in Beardstown.
He was born July 11, 1928, in Cass County, the son of James E. and Atha Cline Fox.
He is survived by two brothers, James (wife, Kay) of Virginia and Robert (wife, Jessie Mae) of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fox was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois and served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as an assistant farm advisor and later joined the DeKalb Bank & Trust in DeKalb. He later served as an officer for Soy Capitol Bank in Decatur for many years prior to his retirement in 1983, when he moved back to Virginia.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Massie-Buchanan Funeral Home in Virginia, with burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to the Virginia United Methodist Church or Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
