Florence Kathryn Rhoades Swick, age 70, of Hawkinsville, Georgia died November 25, 2015 at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home in Hawkinsville.
A funeral service will be held at 12p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Hawkinsville with Rev. Richard Soper officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00a.m. to 11:50a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Florence was born in Danville, Illinois on January 31, 1945 to Everett and Dorothy Rhoades. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hawkinsville. Mrs. Swick was also a member of the United Methodist Women, Methodist Friendship Group, Mary Kicklighter Sunday School Class and the AARP. Florence was a retired secretary having worked many years for her husband at Swick Truck Repair in Hawkinsville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Swick.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Rhea Swick and Ramona Swick of Hawkinsville, Georgia; grandson, John Swick of Hawkinsville, Georgia and granddaughter, Kate Swick of Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Flowers will be accepted but donations may also be made to the Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church, 44 Merritt St., Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036.
