Mrs. Hester Wolfgang Of New Oxford Dies

New Oxford – Mrs. Hester Brenneman Wolfgang, 50, widow of Jesse T. Wolfgang, died Saturday at 3:35 p.m. at her home, 8 Carlisle Street, following a two-year illness. She had been bedfast since June.
A native of York County, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Amelia L. Brodbeck Brenneman. She resided at Manchester, Md., before moving here eight years ago.
Mrs. Brenneman, who had been employed at the E. C. Livingston Shoe Company until her illness, was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Church, near Brodbeck. Her husband died in 1932.
Surviving are: Two daughters, Mrs. Frederick C. Zurga, Harrison, Ark., and Mrs. Melvin Sease, Middleburg RD 1; three sons, Walter E. Wolfgang, New Oxford RD 2; Kenneth L. Wolfgang, Hanover, and Pvt. William Wolfgang, Camp Gordon, Ga.; three grandchildren, and eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Jennie Little, Mrs. Daisy Ramble and Clarence, Curtis and Chauncey Brenneman, all of York; C. Victor Brenneman, Hanover RD 1; Harry Brenneman, Carlsbad, Calif., and Luther Brenneman, Baltimore, Md.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Jacob's (Stone) Church. Rev. Arthur Leeming, superintendent of Hoffman's orphanage, near Littlestown, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Funeral Director Fred F. Feiser.
