Mamie Lorene Gunter, age 90, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Blount Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gunter Sr.; son, John Gunter Jr.; daughter, Sarah Louise Wright; her parents, Canie and Ellen Coada Buchanan; brothers, “JD” Joseph Daniel and Cecil Buchanan; sisters, Jo Helen Buchanan, Mildred Gardner; grandson, John Meredith Gunter III; great-grandson, Benjamin Pribek; special niece, Sondra Kay Lively.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and George Baumbach; son and daughter-in-law, Kelley and Evelyn Gunter; special nieces, Lynn Herron, Carolyn Herron and Opal Lawson; daughter-in-law, Debra Gunter; sisters, Margie Hill and Inez Hughes; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
