John William Hale, 73, of Newport, passed away January 4, 1999 after a lengthy illness.
He was preceded in death by his children, William and Wanda; parents, Joseph and Josephine Hale; and a brother, Charles.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Minnie Ball Hale; son, Joe Hale; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Glennita Hale, all of Newport; daughter, Judy Sneed of Newport; daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Jerry Ford and Lora and Jack Eslinger, all of Newport; also 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Lee Ball and Rev. Buster Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Ball Cemetery.
The family received friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
