OBITUARY Iron County (Michigan) Reporter Nov 16 2005 “Obituaries: Glenford Jacobson”
Age 68. Died Nov 1 2005 at St. Francis Hospital after a severe stroke. Born Nov 21 1936 in Amasa MI. Son of Eric & Ellen Jacobson. Graduated from Amasa High School in 1955. Served 4 years in Air Force, and later 21 years in Army, serving in Germany, France, and three one-year tours in Vietnam. Lived most of life in Columbus where he married late wife Peggy in 1964. She died Nov 1990.
Preceded in death by brother John and nephew Byron Hanttula.
Survived by wife Rachael; daughter Debra; son Lamar; three granddaughters; sister Gladys (Vic) Hanttula; brothers, Robert (Emmie) of Augusta GA, Albert (Sue) of Amasa; special friend Karen Nantelle of Green Bay.
Buried Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus with military honors. Memorial service at Bethany Lutheran Church in Amasa with Dr. Rev. Kim Beckmann and Rev. Fred Kinsey. Organist and soloist Karen Nantelle.
