Norma Kalter
(September 6, 1930 - September 15, 2015)

Our Mother Norma Kalter went to meet Jesus and her husband Bob Kalter on September 15, 2015. She was 85 years old.
She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee during the Great Depression and continually returned to Knoxville each year, to visit her sister, Peggy, and brother, Bill.

Our mother was an adventurer. She took aeronautics in high school and flying lessons at 16 years old, which she paid for herself. She attended nursing school in Tennessee where she became a Registered Nurse.
After joining the Air Force as an officer, she met the love of her life, Bob Kalter as well as many lifelong friends whom she continued to meet monthly for the last 60 years.

She traveled the world, read thousands of books, and became the ultimate wife to Bob, and mother to Jon, Eric, and Jennifer. She always had a great desire to learn which she instilled upon her family. She encouraged Bob to go to art school who became an art teacher. Because of her passion for education, she also earned her degree, even though it took her 10 years to accomplish her goal. Her three children followed in her footsteps and earned college degrees as well.

Her children Jon, Eric and Jennifer along with their spouses Charmagne Kalter and Mark Olguin, grandchildren Madisyn, Delaney, Jill, Zack, Britt and great grandchildren Grayson, Cosette and Preston will miss her deeply.

It is our hope and prayer to use this moment to rejoice that our mom is with our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is also a moment for those who read this obituary to find time to connect, re-connect, and love their family and friends, and know that their hope and salvation rests only in Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Life is short and true love is deeply shared by a mom.

We love and miss our mother, but only shortly. We will someday be at her side again.

Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 9:45 A.M. in Riverside National Veterans Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA. Family and Friends are asked to gather in assembly area No. 4.
