James "Shuck" Hylemon Jr, age 88, of White Pine, left this earthly home, to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2015 in Morristown.

He was a deacon at Mt. Vale Church of God. He was a Veteran of the US Army Air Corp where he was a paratrooper, and he was retired heavy equipment operator at Vulcan Materials.

He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Charlotte Hylemon and 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Shuck is survived by his wife of 59 years; Delcie Mae Samples Hylemon, children; Pam (Mark) Williams, Diane (Johnny) Miller, Ronnie (Lisa) Hylemon and Greg (Tina) Hylemon, grandchildren; Kelly (Ben) Asbury, Cody Miller, Aaron (Rachael) Clark, Adam Hylemon, Brooke Hylemon and Marissa Hylemon, great-grandchildren; Josie Brooks and Hunter Clark, several nieces, nephews and other family members.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Junior and Diane Samples for all their help.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 7:00pm at Mt Vale Church of God, with the Rev. TH Ferrell officiating, family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm prior to the funeral service. Military Graveside Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, 11:00pm in Dandridge Memorial Gardens.

The family has requested that In lieu of Flowers Memorial Donations be made to: Mt Vale Church of God Building Fund, 1330 E. Dumplin Valley Rd, Jefferson City, TN 37760, or to The Daily Bread, 118 South Cumberland St, Morristown, TN 37814.
