Stephen Merrill "Steve" Byington, 73, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sept. 15, 2015, in St George, Utah, after a long, hard fight with cancer.
He was born to Merrill Ray and Bessie Theresa (Hunsaker) Byington of Ririe, Idaho, in March of 1942. He attended BYU, later married and had four children.
Fifteen years ago, he married his wife, Tammie Duncan, who has four daughters: Randi Lynn Rvarave, Cryssandra Berry, Annette Squires and Tami Duncan.
Steve had a passion for golf and enjoyed reading, woodworking and taking care of his yard. He loved being around and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Byington of St. George; his children, Stephanie Jones of Murphy, Texas, Mace Byington of St. George and Doni Van Buren and Daryl Byington, both of Orangeville, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many other family members.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Ririe Shelton Cemetery, East 129 North, Bonneville County, Idaho.
