Birth: Dec. 1, 1880
Saline County
Missouri, USA
Death: May 13, 1910
Stephens County
Oklahoma, USA

Mrs. Zelma Keeth, wife of Walter Keeth, died very suddenly early Friday morning from some heart affliction. She was apparently in good health and at six o'clock awoke her husband to build a fire. Within a few minutes he returned and found her dead, death having come without a struggle during his short absence. The death of this good woman cast a shadow of gloom over the entire community and left a vacancy in the home that can never be filled. Funeral services were held at the home in South Duncan, Saturday morning. Mrs. Keeth was born in Herndon, Mo., Dec. 1, 1880, and was married to Walter Keeth, March 27, 1901. To this union was born one son Jesse Roe, who is now aged seven years. Three years ago the family moved to Duncan, since which time Mr. Keeth has been junior proprietor of the racket store of Keeth & Son. She was a daughter of Jesse Stephens & Ella Wingfield Stephens, residents of this city, and besides the husband, and son, father and mother, leaves two brothers and a sister. All except one brother attended the last sad rites. She was a consistent Christian, a member of the Presbyterian church and a loving wife and kind and affectionate mother. Death under any circumstances is sad, but when the grim reaper enters a home without warning and plucks the hope, the mainstay, the inspiration of a happy house-hold it is doubly sad. The sympathy of all go out to the heart broken husband and little son and other relatives in their great loss.
