Ms. Cleo Evelyn Johnson, 89, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Cumberland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at 11 am in Cross Creek Cemetery #3. The family will receive friends following the service.

Cleo worked as an LPN at Dorothea Dix Mental Hospital for over 40 years. She then worked part-time for a local nursing agency for an additional 5 years before retiring.

She is survived by her sister, Marietta Johnson Leppert of Pineville, SC; a niece, Judith Jordan of Fayetteville; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cleo was preceded in death by her siblings, Lillis Bruton, Wilma Jordan, Bonnie Owen, Leroy Johnson, Marion “Jimmy” Johnson, Cephus Johnson, Ouida Webster and Nadine Jordan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
