Mary Porch Buchanan, Hamlet, North Carolina, died Sunday at Butner, N.C.

The daughter of the late Charles B. and Eliza Zollicofer Adams Porch, she was born April 3, 1888 in Somerset. She was married to Edward P. Buchanan, who was commander of the Knights Templar and active in the Presbyterian church when they lived in Somerset from 1912 to 1937. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Buchanan was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a teacher in the Somerset School System for many years.

Survivors are two sons, Dr. Charles E. Buchanan, Miami, Fla. and Dr. David P. Buchanan, San Mateo, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Nan Thames, Magee, Miss.

Funeral services were held Thursday in the Chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with the Rev. L.D. Fisher officiating. Burial in the Somerset Cemetery.
