William Blosser was born January 31, 1838, in Perry county, Ohio. Departed this life February 9, 1918, at Council Grove, Kansas, aged eighty years and nine days.
Though he endured the hardships of a soldier in the Civil War, yet it may be truly said of him in his declining years that he was a rustler.
He served three years in the 15th Ohio Infantry. Was in the battle of Pittsburg Landing, Mission Ridge, Lookout Mountain and others. Took an active part in the G. A. R. Post of which he was a member. He was married to Mrs. Emma F. Chappel of Litchfield, Illinois, June 2, 1894, at Strong City, Kansas.
