Bessie Ceplecha Holt was born July 19, 1922, on the family farm near Veseli in Wheatland Township, Rice County, Minnesota, to John and Anna (Kral) Ceplecha.
She was baptized and confirmed at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Veseli and attended country school in Wheatland Township.
On April 23, 1942, Bessie married Clarence Kadlec. After marriage they farmed in Erin Township. Clarence passed away unexpectedly in June 1969. In late 1969, Bessie met Jesse Earl Holt. They were married on April 16, 1971, in Faribault and made their home in Northfield.
Bessie worked at 3M from 1970 to 1983. In 1985, they moved to Dundas and in 2002, to Minneapolis. Bessie enjoyed sewing, fishing, baking, cooking, and camping with Jesse & Wendy.
She is survived by her step-son Jesse (Wendy) Holt, two granddaughters Michelle and Joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse on March 1, 2015, her first husband Clarence, her son Robert in 1981, her parents, her brothers Joseph and George Ceplecha, her sisters Rose Skluzacek and Mayme Duban, and her step-son Peter.
Bessie passed away Friday afternoon, October 23, 2015, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 93.
Mass of Christian Burial was hel at the Church of St. Dominic, Northfield.
