Elwanda was born on December 1, 1943 and passed away at Cullman Health Care Center on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church, loved to read, write letters and talk on the phone. Spent many hours swinging on the front porch, piecing quilts and needlepoint; and was always her parents special child.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Criss A. & Martha Opal Sims Burks; and a brother-in-law, Harlan Smith.
Survivors include, 2 – Brothers – William E. Burks, Sr. & Kenneth E. (Shelia) Burks; one Sister – Martha Ann Smith all of Cullman; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family; and the family would like to thank the staff of Cullman Health Care Center for their care and concern for the past three plus years.
