Amelia was born in Vermont to Samuel & Elizabeth Pierce Chadwick. The family relocated to Granville , Ohio. She married Ransom Clark on June 15th, 1821. They lived at Marysville , Ohio and raised a family, moving later to Buchanan , Iowa for the remainder of their lives. They farmed and passed the farm down to family for generations. She is buried at Bethesda Cemetery at Fairfield, Iowa along with her husband Ransom.
