Guy loved farming and plants, In his later years he was a nurseryman in Alliance, ohio. He lost his first wife in the great hurricane when they lived near Lake Okeechobee. He was away on his job with the railroad,when the storm hit. The wind blew so hard that it blew all the water out of the lake onto the surrounding land. His wife was drowned. Guy's infant son survived but the wife's family took him and left the area. Guy lost track of the family and never saw his son again. He later married Pearl Lee Malloy of Ocoee, Fl. She was a beautiful woman of spirit and a good match for him. They had one child, a daughter, Pauline Jeannette Partin. Guy was a tough guy. He was an amateur boxer and ran a little moonshine in his youth. He loved to cook and was well known for his open fire spagetti sauce. He served in WWI. He worked hard and played hard. He died of lung cancer in 1972.
