Funeral Services Conducted For Mrs. Gervis Martel, Tues (probably printed in the Eunice News)
Funeral rites were conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Gervis Fontenot Martel, 22, who died Monday at 5:30 p.m., at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Julan Savoy, by the Rev. A. Martel, pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic church of this city. Burial was in the Savoy cemetery three miles east of Eunice, under direction of McGee and Son, local funeral directors.
Surviving are her husband, Gervis Martel, and three-year old daughter Wilda Anne; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. David Fontenot; two sisters: Mrs. Wilson Courville and Miss Ella Mae Fontenot; two brothers: Ennis and Wilson Fontenot; grandmother, Mrs. Julian Savoy and an uncle, Jules Savoy, all residing near this city.
