Born on March, 25, 1932 in Gananoque, Ontario, Canada, she was a daughter of the late James and Mabel Robbins Waterson. She grew up on Wellesley Island and attended LaFargeville Central School.
She married Lawrence Cheever on January 31, 1950 at the United Methodist Church parsonage in Philadelphia, NY with Rev. Lawrence Heatherington officating. He passed away on December 11, 1995. Mr. & Mrs. Cheever were owners and operators of Allways Greenhouse, Evans Mills for many years. Aggie worked as a nurse’s aide at Mercy Hospital, Watertown and Whispering Pines Nursing Home, Watertown, retiring in 1995.
She served as an ombudsman and patient advocate for Jefferson County Nursing Homes and volunteered at Minna Anthony Nature Center, Wellesley Island.
Aggie enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Schneider, LaFargeville, Joan Patience, Alexandria Bay, and Velma Roselli, Watertown; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her husband and parents, a brother, George Jay Waterson who died in infancy, five sisters, Arvilla Sharp, Flora Rattray, Belva Drinkard, Grace Lee and Luva Ryan all died before her.
Funeral Services will be 6 pm Monday, September 14, 2015 at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa with Pastor Frederica Webb of the Alexandria Bay and Wellesley Island United Methodist Churches.
A calling hour will be 5 to 6 pm prior to the service.
Burial will be 10 am Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Riverside Cemetery, Wellesley Island, NY.
