Mr. Scott was born in 1920 and grew up in Healdon. He married Oleta Lamkin in 1938. She preceded him in death. He moved to Abilene in 1951 from Healdton and owned Scott Building Supply in Abilene for 20 years. He was active in the oil business for 30 years and served in the U.S. Army. He was a Mason and a member of Wylie Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters - Glenda Oates of Mustang, OK, Judy Leech of Abilene, Kim Bearden of Stamford; and one son - Steve Scott of Abilene; one brother - Wayne Scott of Oklahoma; one sister - Susie Perkins of Oklahoma; six grandchildren.
