David Alonzo Bright

A former resident of Chanute, David Alonzo Bright, 90, died at the home of his son, Roy Bright, Wednesday in Tulsa.

Bright was born Jan 22, 1854, in Randolph County, Indiana. He moved to Chanute from Portland, Indiana in 1909 and lived here for many years before going to Tulsa about 10 years ago. Bright was a contractor for building cisterns. Mrs. Bright died March 17, 1926. Two daughters also preceded him in death.

Survivors are six sons, John Bright, James G., Walter and Charles Bright, Chanute, Roy of Tulsa and William Arthur of Ellinwood. Sixteen grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wilson-Johnson chapel here with the Rev. F. Lowell Cormack officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood. The body will lie in state at the Wilson-Johnson Chapel, until the hour of the service.
