The 1910 census recorded Andrav [Andrew] J. Miller, 53, living in Elgin, Bastrop, Texas, with wife Ella [Ellen], 38, mother-in-law Emma Alderson, 75, and stepsons: Harry D. [G.] Davis, 18, a porter at the railroad station, and Arbuth, 16.
The 1920 census recorded Andrew J. Miller, 66, born in Alabama, living in Elgin, Bastrop, Texas, with wife Matilda Miller, 47, a saleslady in a dry goods store.
The 1930 census recorded Andrew J. Miller, 78, the proprietor of a candy store, living in Elgin, Bastrop, Texas, with wife Ellen Miller, 58, a "hemstitcher" with her own shop, stepson Harry G. Davis, 38, a telegraph operator, and his stepson's family.
Note: I have elected to go with a birth year of 1852 to be consistent with the grave marker, although I strongly suspect that 1856 is the more correct date that would be consistent with records from census years 1900 and his age for 1910.
