GETTYSBURG RESIDENT AT THE TIME OF THE BATTLE AT GETTYSBURG. SON OF PROF. MICHAEL JACOBS. LIVED AT THE TIME AT THE CORNER OF CHAMBERSBURG AND WASHINGTON STREETS. THE HOUSE STILL STANDS TODAY. STUDIED FOR THE MINISTRY AT THE LUTHERAN SEMINARY.

Henry E Jacobs (later Reverend, & son of Michael) lived at the corner/intersection of South Washington and West Middle Streets in Gettysburg during the battle in July 1863, not Chambersburg & Washington as in the description. There is even official sign with his picture in front of the house on West Middle (a block south of Chambersburg St).
