HOVEY FUNERAL AT 11 A.M. TODAY
Norge, December 11
Funeral services for Jacob Hovey, Sr. of Norge, who died Wednesday, will be held at the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church at 11 A.M. Friday. Dr. John H. Grey, Jr. will conduct the service. Interment will be in the family plot at York River Presbyterian Churchyard at Magruder.
Active pallbearers will be W.S.Ewan, A.O.Rogers, W.I.Snider, T.L.Thomas, E.S.Bingly, W.R.Tudor, J.Pitman, E.P.Roane, and T.L.Sheppard. Other friends of the family will be honorary pallbearers.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice P. Hovey; four daughters, Mrs. B.Z.Clarke of Sutherland, Mrs. V.S.Briggs of Denbigh, Mrs. R.L.Banks and Mrs. K.L.Klunder, both of Norge; two sons, John J.Hovey, Jr. of Richmond and Bry E.Hovey of Glen Allen; one stepson, Joseph Brantley of Wichita, Kansas; a step-sister, Miss Blanche Townsend of Norge.

Hovey- Died at a local hospital, December 10, 1952, John J. Hovey, Sr., of Norge, Va. He is survived by his wife, Alice P. Hovey; four daughters, Mrs. B.Z. Clarke of Sutherland, Va.; Mrs. V.S. Briggs, of Denbigh, Va.; Mrs. R.L. Banks and Mrs. R.L. Klunder, both of Norge, Va.; two sons, John J. Hovey, Jr., of Richmond, Va., and Bry E. Hovey, of Glen Allen, Va.; one stepson, Joseph Brantley, of Wichita, Kansas; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The remains rest at Whitaker Funeral Home, Williamsburg, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 A.M. from the Williamsburg (Va) Presbyterian Church. Interment in family plot.
