Pedro memorably served as the urbane and witty host of "La Hora Azul", ("The Blue Hour"), introducing many of the most popular entertainers of the day, especially Agustin Lara, (who Pedro dubbed "The Musical Poet"), and Juan Arvizu, Pedro Vargas, Tona Le Negra, and Emilio Tuero, among others. Pedro also wrote the lyrics to "El Corrido de Chihuahua", along with Felipe Bermejo, who wrote the music. Pedro was the son of well-known pharmacist and professor Pedro De Lille Borja and of music teacher Maria Aizpuru Alvarez, who trained the soprano Angela Peralta. Pedro was the brother of Enrique (Henry), Marie, Antonia (Zayas), Mario, and Hector. He was married to Celia Saenz and they had two children: Lourdes De Lille Maza and Pedro De Lille Saenz.
