Obituary of Charles "Charlie" Krenkler Mr. Charles F. Krenkler, age 56 of Portland, Tennessee, formerly of the Philadelphia area, passed away on Thursday August 20, 2015 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Charles was the loving father of Candace L. Krenkler of St. Louis, Missouri and Carlie Rooney of Cinnaminson, New Jersey.Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Esther (Thomas) Krenkler.Charles was a graduate of Abington High School, Abington, PA Class of 1977. Upon graduation, he enrolled in the Williamsport Area Community College.In 1984, Charles started his career with Lehigh Press in Dallas. He retired with the company in January 2014.Charles had many interests. Among them was an interest in Leonardo Da Vinci. He made some of Da Vinci's drawings into wooden models. He loved to build things including wooden models of planes, cars and boats. He was always very well organized. Everything had its own place and was always labeled. Charles was a history buff. He loved cars. Especially his 1970's Nova and his 1990's Jeep. He also liked to watch the TV show "COPS" and Auto Racing.Charles had lived in many places including Cinnaminson and Maple Shade, New Jersey, Hagerstown, Maryland and Chattanooga, Tennessee.In addition to his children, Charles is survived by 1 brother; William O. Krenkler, Jr. of Benson, Arizona, Carol K. Siegmund and her husband Scott of Slatington, Pennsylvania and Laura J. Krenkler of Portland, Tennessee. His 2 Grandchildren; Emmett M. and Nicholas R. Rooney. His nephews and nieces; William O. Krenkler III and Melissa R. Krenkler. Kathryn E. Siegmund and Michael Siegmund.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Fred and Carolyn Krenkler and his maternal grandparents; C. Howard and Esther Thomas.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to his viewing on Friday August 28, 2015 from 10 A.M. and to his Funeral Service at 11 A.M. at the Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.
