Mrs. Lillie Hamm, aged 23, died Wednesday morning at 4:30 o'clock as a result of child bed fever, at her home on the James farm, in Ripley township, Rush county. She was the daughter of Harrison Carpenter, and was a native of Kentucky. Besides her husband she leaves three small children, one of which is but three weeks old. Funeral held Friday afternoon from Glencove chapel. Interment in the Knightstown cemetery."
