Doyle was a WWII Navy veteran and was a “Jack of all Trades”. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church. He retired from Schiele Museum in 1988, where he was the master builder behind all the 19th century buildings, including the gristmill and nature trail. He had a garden every year and canned vegetables, especially green beans. He gave away more than he kept. He loved helping people and rarely took a penny because that was who he was. Doyle’s lifelong passion was hunting and fishing.
Interment in Gaston Memorial Park.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia
