Born in Ulster Co., NY. Legend has it that Moses Freer first was buried at Carrollton, Il. He had always said that if he was buried any place else other than his homestead, he would come back & haunt them. This he did so much that he was dug up & brought back to his hometead & buried. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Carrollton Gazette", Aug 13, 1881 MOSES FREER died Saturday at his residence near Walnut Grove. Third brother who has died within 2 years.
