Elven Jacob Kitzman, 79, of Loveland died January 30, 2004, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland.
He was born February 7, 1924, in Cheyenne to Jacob and Christina Schmierer Kitzman.
He married Cleta L. Sible, and they later divorced.
He was in partnership with a brother farming in the Wiggins area. He later was in partnership with another brother in a concrete business in Longmont. He then was a welder for Continental Trailer Manufacturing in Loveland until his retirement.
He lived in Morgan and Weld counties until the 1970's when he moved to Loveland.
He enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes, going to garage sales, hunting, traveling to Las Vegas and helping other people.
He is survived by two brothers, Theodore E. Kitzman and wife Clara of Wiggins, and Benjamin P. Kitzman and wife Rose O'Conner of Dupont, Colorado; four sisters, Rose Carlton of Dolan Springs, Arizona, Flora Zimbelman of Keenesburg, Juanita M. Cowan of Loveland, and Delaine A. Phillips and husband Luther of Loveland; a sister-in-law Alice Kitzman of Byers; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Frieda Thomas, and a brother, Harold H. Kitzman.
Cremation has been conducted.
Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Turner officiating.
