Mr. Gordon William "Skip" Plotzke, II, 60, of Kimball Township, died Monday, July 10, 2006 in Mercy Hospital.
He was born March 11, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Gordon W. and Laurine E. Plotzke.
He married Victoria "Vicky" Boucher on May 9, 1970 in Port Huron.
Mr. Plotzke was a custodian with the Port Huron Area School District.
He served with the U. S. Marines during the Viet Nam Era. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycles and working around the house and had a great sense of humor. He was a HOG member and belonged to Smiths Creek American Legion Post #525 and the Blue Water Sportsmans Club.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria; two sons, GYSGT & Mrs. Gordon William (Heather) Plotzke, III of Camp Pendleton, California and Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Marcie) Plotzke of Fort Gratiot; a daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Cliff (Christine) Wombles of Kimball; five grandchildren, Gordon IV, Avery, Sara Beth, Haley Faith and Cory; a sister, Sharon Richards of Arizona; and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of St. Clair County Allied Veterans at 4:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Daniel S. Bakay of First Baptist Church, Port Huron officiated.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot Township.
Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the family.
