Army CPT Blake H. Russell, 35, of Forth Worth, Texas; assigned to 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; died July 22 of injuries sustained from enemy forces munitions while investigating a possible mortar cache during combat operations near Baghdad.

Blake Harrison Russell, 35, a Captain in the United States Army, died Saturday, July 22, 2006, near Baghdad, Iraq.

Survivors: His wife, Bellinda, and their children, Dylan and Haley, all of Fort Campbell, KY; mother, Janice Perkins; father, Ron Russell and his wife, Donna, all of Fort Worth, TX; sisters, Rhona Jesperson and her husband, Bob, and Deidra Earle and her husband, Andrew; paternal grandmother, Mrs. L.C. Harrison; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; Bellinda's mother, Helga Stine and her husband, Paul Lager; and her brother, Robb Stine and his wife, Shannon, all of Fort Worth, TX.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Brian Kelly, chaplain, U.S. Navy, the Rev. Antony Mathew, T.O.R., and Deacon Joseph Milligan will con-celebrate the Mass.

Burial: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: Capt. Russell will lie in state noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home; the family will greet friends and relatives 3 to 6 p.m.

A sunset memorial service was held Tuesday in Iraq. Fort Campbell holds a monthly Eagle Remembrance Ceremony the second Wednesday of each month. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Russell Children's Memorial Fund, Bank of America, Box 528, Fort Campbell, Ky. 42223.
