McAlester, Okla. June 9 - Military honors are to be paid Walter A. Evans, pioneer real estate man whose funeral services will be held here Monday. Evans died Friday night at Rochester, Minn.
Evans was prominent in civic work here and at one time was mayor at Kiowa. He served during the Spanish-American war and was a Y.M.C.A. worker during the World war, following his rejection because of age.
Masonic services will be conducted at the funeral and the American legion will be in charge of services at the grave.
