Nathaniel Harrison Berry, 92, of Ivan, Arkansas, passed away on August 07, 2012 at his home.

He was born on October 30, 1919 in Fordyce, Arkansas.

Nathaniel was a retired forester for Georgia Pacific where he worked for 28 years. He was also an Army World War 2 veteran and was a P.O.W. for 14 months in Germany.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Elizabeth Hurst-Berry; and his parents, Edgar Berry and Rosie Ella Sessions-Berry.

Nathaniel is survived by six children: Kenneth Berry (Vivian) of Ivan, Robert E. "Bob" Berry (Connie) of Fordyce, Nena Berry Clement (Myles) of Sheridan, Deberah Berry Brooks (Jack) of Mabelvale, Joyce Berry Hearitige (Frank) of Bismarck, and Mark Berry of Panama City, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and one sister, Martha Hurst of Ivan.

The funeral services will be held in the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. The burial services will follow at Garner Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Cancer Society or The Lung Association.
