Rites Saturday For Local Farmer
Frank Lee, 76, who had been ill several weeks, died at his home at 1319 North Anderson Street at 5:30 Thursday morning. He was a farmer who had spent most of his life in Greensburg and Decatur county.
The son of William and Matilda Glenn Lee, he was born in Ohio county, March 19, 1874. His first wife was Effie Buchanan, who is dead. On Aug. 2, 1920, he was married to Nora Murphy, who survives.
Other survivors in addition to the widow, Mrs. Nora Lee, are two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Alma) Virgin, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Ben (Nellie) Hersley, Greensburg; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Arla (Mildred) Bush, of Greensburg, and Mrs. Lloyd (Daisy) Catt, Andersonville; four stepsons, Clyde Murphy, Niagara Falls, N. Y., Wilbur Murphy, Milroy, Cecil Murphy and Melvin Murphy, Greensburg.
Also surviving are three brothers, Jesse Lee, George Lee and Clarence Lee, all of Greensburg; a sister, Mrs. William (Lou) McCormack, near Greensburg; three grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. One brother, Morton Lee, and one sister, Mrs. Belle Taylor, preceded Mr. Lee in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Howe funeral home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. Clarnece Hamilton, Pilgrim Holiness pastor, officiating. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.
