June Rita McCabe age 67 of Edina, Missouri passed away Wednesday morning, (April 7, 2004) at her residence in Edina.
Born June 26, 1936 in Knox City, Missouri she was a daughter of Carl and Maurita Alda (Golbright) Parrish.
On June 30, 1951 she was united in marriage to Lewis Campbell and to this union three children were born. On May 15, 1970 at Edina, Missouri, she married James J. "Jay" McCabe, who preceded her in death on January 21, 1990.
Surviving are three children, Susan Young and her husband, Terry of Chandler, Arizona, Bill Campbell of Round Rock, Texas and Jamie McCabe of Knox City, Missouri; three grandchildren; two brothers, Nelson Parrish and his wife, Laura Lee of LaBelle, Missouri and Lindsey Parrish of LaGrange, Missouri; four sisters, Margie Tarpein of LaGrange, Missouri, Freda Brooks of Thorndale, Texas, Donna Ledbetter and her husband, Larry of LaBelle, Missouri and Tammy Parrish of Quincy, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, and one son, Robert L. Campbell also preceded her in death.
Mrs. McCabe was the owner and operator of the Blue Room in Edina, Missouri for a number of years. Later she was a certified nurse's aide at the Knox County Residential Care Facility at Edina and a home health aide with Heartland Resources. June's hobbies included gardening, cooking and golf. She especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2004 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri with Reverend Norm Snowbarger officiating. No visitation will be held.
