Billy Gene Booth was born December 6, 1940 in Porter, Oklahoma to Steve Edward and Helen Ollie (Smith) Booth. He was a lifelong Porter, Oklahoma resident until just recently when he moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma. Billy was a gifted mechanic specializing in small engine repair. He was previously employed at Sears. Billy’s favorite hobby was attending auctions.
Bill departed this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Helen Booth, and siblings, Joy Braxton, Marvin Smith, Opal Carey and Jimmy Liles.
He is survived by two sons, Darrell Booth of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Mark Booth of Wagoner, Oklahoma; a grandson, Joshua Booth, and a great-grandson, Jaxon Booth; three sisters and their husbands, Linda and Mervle Peck of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Wanda and Bob Sanders of Burling, Arkansas, and Shirley and Bob Herring of Porter, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.
The family will hold a Visitation and Prayer Service Saturday morning from 9 until 10 a.m. at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home.
