She was a member of Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church. "Maconaquah" was the last Princess of the Miami Nation of Indians where she served as secretary and former secretary/treasurer to the Miami Nation of Indians of the State of Indiana, Inc. She had worked for General Tire, US Gypsum, Dana Corporation, and retired from Wabash County Hospital in 1983 where she had been a nursing assistant since 1973.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service on Monday, August 1, 2005 at 11am with Pastor Doug Phillips officiating. Followed by tribal ceremonies officiated by Wop-Shing of the Miami Nation. Burial will follow at Frances Slocum Cemetery.
