James A. Roden Dies At Home Of Daughter In Dallas

James Anderson Roden, age 72, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oliver Edwards, while visiting her in Dallas July 31.

Mr. Roden was born in Alabama but had been in Fannin County since he was 14 years old.

Bro. Watts of Honey Grove and Bro. Edgar Lutrell of Dodd City conducted the services. Interment was in Dodd City Cemetery.

He is survived by his children, Mrs. E. C. Devault of Dodd City, Mrs. W. M. Butler, Windom, Mrs. Sam Scroggins of Honey Grove, Mrs. Oliver Edward of Dallas, Mrs. L. E. Cox of Dodd City, Mrs. A. L. Parsons of Dodd City, Jack Roden of San Antonio, John and Joe of Dodd City, Sam Roden of Olton, William of Colorado, Milta Roden of Dodd City.

Seventeen grandchildren also survive.
