Merle F. “Frank” Milliron, 89, Rochester Mills, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Mr. Milliron was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was married to Alverda (Plyler) Milliron, who survives, of Rochester Mills.

Mr. Milliron was a man of many talents: A Christmas tree trimming artist, stone mason, Truck Patch Farmery (grew giant pumpkins) and loved having dogs near.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include three daughters, June Farmery and husband William of Rochester Mills, Karen Painter and husband James of Punxsutawney, and Kathleen Ishman and husband Robert of Virginia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Adams of Punxsutawney; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Emden, Robert, Dallas, Forest and Gerald Milliron; nine sisters, Doris Powell, Mabel Coleman, Edith Virginia (infant), Bernice (infant), Edna Reed, Veva Mohney, Hazel Adams, Linda Burkett and Thelma Hazlett.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Golembiowski officiating.

Interment is private.
